Update - getting so close

So here is the update on my little babe and myself.  Everyday I get more and more anxious to see her sweet little face and wonder who she is going to look like, if she is going to be chubby; then I start thinking about labor and get nervous for all of the pain and unknown to be experienced.  I have been blessed with a short torso meaning that my ribs and hip bones are really close.  So as the little one moves she hurts me in the ribs and the hips at the same time.  I really hope she drops soon and that she will come early because I am getting really uncomfortable.  Finding a comfy position at night is hard so it takes a long time to fall asleep.  Thank heavens I have the fatigue symptom of pregnancy in full swing or else I don't think I would ever fall asleep.  I start seeing the doctor every week until she comes.  I have an appointment tomorrow.

During my days I clean the house, take a nap at some point, sometimes run errands and crochet (something I never thought I would do).  I feel like I am pretty good at it.  I have taught myself and have started some beginner projects.  That is pretty much an update of my life not really exciting just waiting to have our little bundle of joy in my arms.

This is a picture of me 35 weeks 2 days - one month until the due date :) (yes I do spill food on my shirt sometimes)

As for Matthew.  He is doing really well.  Learning a lot at work and getting really excited to be a daddy.  He is going to be the best dad I know.  He truly is amazing and I don't think I could have made it through this pregnancy without him.  He is so understanding with my mood swings, fears and anxieties, excitement, and everything else that has come with it.  I just can't wait until we get to raise our little girl together.

Nursery!!

So since we found out we were having a little girl I have been really excited about decorating her nursery.  I decided on the colors green and purple since I am not a big fan of pink.  We painted the walls a light green so if we live here long enough and our next child is a boy it totally works for a boys room too.

He really liked painting the room

The color was a much better choice than white walls

With the walls green that means the bedding is purple.  The theme of her room is disney fairies and instead of spending lots of money I decided to take some giant coloring book pictures and frame them.  I colored them in college and now have a use for them; I knew I held onto them for a reason.  We decided to get a cheaper crib and changer combo set (the most we spent in her room for sure).

I wanted different style of crib, but I think the traditional style will be just fine.

We got the set becuase of this, a changer and dresser combo.

I have some wall decals of butterflies that I think I will put up on the walls just don't know places to put them yet.  So here are the finished pictures of the nursery without the wall decals.

I bought wooden letters and mod podged paper on them and I really like how they turned out

We just bought the frames from walmart.

The cute qoute above the window came from Matt's sister Jenny.  I wanted a quote to put on the wall and that worked out perfect.

Now we just get to wait for our bundle of joy.  She probably won't use the nursery right away because our room is all the way across the house; so we have a pack and play for her to sleep in at first. I am soooooo excited for her to get here.  I can't breathe very well and cannot get comfortable at all so it will be nice to hold her in my arms.

Anniversary!!!

Matt and I celebrated our two year aniversary July 30th.  I just can't believe that we have been married that long.  It is crazy to look back on our time together because so much has happened.  I remember our very first date together and the AMAZING hug that he gave me at the door to say goodnight.  I just remember feeling so secure in his arms; a feeling I have when he hugs me today.   I love him so much and could not have picked a better man to spend eternity with.

Well, with our funds being tighter this year (baby on the way) we spent the day in our little area.  For breakfast he took me to a place called Apple Annies, a farm that is right by his work.  They are harvesting their peaches this time of year and so we had peaches on our pancakes (which I thought was pretty good,  I am a REALLY picky eater).  It was fun to go there.  There was a craft fair going on at the same time so we bought a cute little crocheted hat for our little girl.  Here are some pictures of our time there.

They had fun little things to take pictures with.

Here is a picture of one of the orchards there.

Matt living out his dream as a farmer haha (he really doesn't have a dream of being a farmer)
So after our time at Apple Annies we decided to head back to town.  We decided to spend money on a movie at the crappy theatre they have here.  We got to see Captain America though and we really enjoyed it.  Matt is excited for "The Avengers" to come out next year as am I.  So happy there are movies that we enjoy together.  After that I made Matt a candlelight dinner with ribs, corn on the cob, rolls, and salad.  And we turned on some music and just really enjoyed our time together.

Don't mind our table we haven't had time to get a nice dining table.
I can't believe two years have gone by so fast.  In that two years we have both graduated college with bachelors, moved to Guadalajara Mexico for three months, moved to Arizona, bought a house, and now expecting our first child.  So much has happened and I love him more and more everyday and cannot wait for him to be a daddy and start raising our little family.
